Ring Guide — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 July 2026

Ring Guide ("the app") is an independent travel guide provided by One77 LTD ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. In short: we do not collect, store, or share any personal data about you.

No account, no personal data collection

The app does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying information. We do not operate any server that collects data from you, and we do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind.

Location

If you grant location permission, the app uses your device's location solely to show your position on the map so you can orient yourself. Your location is processed on your device only. It is not collected by us, not stored on any server, and not shared with anyone. You can decline or revoke location access at any time in your device settings, and the app will continue to work.

Maps and offline data

Map tiles are supplied by MapTiler, using map data from OpenStreetMap contributors. When the app loads map tiles online, your device makes standard requests to MapTiler, which may receive technical information such as your IP address as part of normal internet operation. This is handled by MapTiler under its own privacy policy. To reduce this, the app lets you download maps for offline use in advance.

Data stored on your device

Preferences and any offline map data you choose to download are stored locally on your device only. Removing the app deletes this data.

Links to other services

The app may include links that open external websites or apps (for example maps, directions, or venue websites). Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
